Born in Pereira, Colombia (South America). I first arrived in New York in 1969 earning my way as a dishwasher while studying aviation. I worked as a tour guide for a while and in 1980 my wife Maria Lucia Mejia and myself decided to move to Miami where I started working in appliances with a company called Century Appliances. In 1988 I bought Impel America Appliances from Mr. Carlos Bustamante and started selling and distributing major appliance brands in South Florida and Latin America.
Today we sell and distribute the most recognized brands in high-end appliances with the goal of providing the best customer service. We take a consultative approach to help our customers find the best value and appliances for their remodeling projects. I started my journey in the appliance world back in 1989, working in the warehouse loading and handling appliances. From those early days on the ground floor, I learned the importance of hard work, attention to detail, and doing things right the first time. Over the years, I grew with the industry and today I’m proud to serve as the General Manager of Impel America Appliances.
My focus has always been on delivering more than just appliances — it’s about creating an experience. That’s why at Impel America, we’ve built a dedicated **Customer Experience Department** and a specialized **Logistics Department** to ensure every client enjoys an unparalleled, stress-free process from showroom to installation. With our white glove service, we make sure every detail is taken care of, so our clients can enjoy peace of mind knowing they are in the best hands.
Raymond Perez
Sales & Operations Manager
I was born in 1958 in Fordham, Bronx, NY, and raised in Summit, New Jersey. After graduating high school, I began my career in sales and, while attending college, entered the life insurance industry with leading companies such as Metropolitan Life, New York Life, and New England Life.
In 1985, I made the transition into the appliance industry, starting with a small appliance company. Over the years, I’ve held nearly every role in the business—from working in the warehouse to serving as Vice President of a major national chain. This journey has given me a deep appreciation for the industry and a passion that continues to this day.
Currently, I’m proud to be part of Impel America Appliances in Doral, Florida, where I bring decades of experience, leadership, and enthusiasm for the business.
